The HKMPA welcomed the recent opportunity to input into the consultation for Hong Kong's First Five-Year Plan and made six recommendations: 1. Adopt ecological civilisation as an organising principle for the Five-Year Plan. 2. Elevate the BSAP 2035 within the Five-Year Plan 3. Create a comprehensive, connected and effectively managed marine protected area network 4. Coordinate ecotourism across bureaus 5. Pilot best-practice ecotourism 6. Mainstream nature-based education and formulate Hong Kong’s first Blueprint for Marine Education

漁農自然護理署（漁護署）今日宣布，有意在牛尾海橋咀洲設立一個新的海岸公園，並公布相關管理計劃的擬議方案。該項提交予郊野公園及海岸公園委員會的建議，擬設立一個面積為63公頃的海岸公園，涵蓋兩個區域，包括該島西面及東面的主要珊瑚群落。
